THE WHO:

Stark Matthews for the launch of kōtia.

THE WHAT:

Introducing skincare’s newest miracle, kōtia. Sourced from the purest place on earth, kōtia is the first skincare range in the world to have tapped into the potent skincare powers of New Zealand deer milk. To unveil this unique new ingredient, we knew a regular event simply wouldn’t do, we needed to truly immerse our guests with an authentic New Zealand experience.

THE CHALLENGE:

Being a world-first and a previously unknown skincare ingredient, we needed to educate our guests on kōtia’s skincare benefits and credentials showcasing its key points of difference within the cluttered beauty space.

Our objective was to generate activity, buzz and excitement around the brand via our guests’ social media channels during the launch and provide ample information, interview opportunities and imagery to secure strong editorial features, stories and mentions closer to the on-shelf date.

THE HOW:

We created a total brand immersion experience for almost 40 Australian and New Zealand media, influencers and buyers in the brand’s birthplace of Queenstown. We showcased the restorative properties of deer milk in the gorgeous surroundings – think lush green pastures and majestic mountains overlooking the crystal clear waters of Lake Wakatipu.

THE HIGHLIGHT:

Apart from meeting the beautiful fawns at Walter Peak Farm (so cute!), we had some incredible praise and feedback from the top tier media, influencers and buyers in attendance including one media attendee stating, “It was one of the most interesting (and super slick) launches I’ve attended.”

THE OUTCOME:

We secured an incredible 404 social media posts over the week reaching almost 10 million users. With product soon to launch on the shelves, our secured coverage has started to appear in the likes of NZ Herald, WHIMN, Body + Soul, MiNDFOOD and OK! to name a few, with so much more to come over the next two months.
